Welcome to Champions Online. By now you have chosen a character and costumed it according to your stylistic eye and might even be wondering how much time it takes the average run way model's clothing to design as well and maybe even if you will even want to keep your current character for the long haul. I am not going to be comparing character types here. I am just going to be cover the basics.

Quests[]

Primary Article: Quests

You can bring up your quest log by pressing J or clicking the top left icon on the mini-map and pressing missions in the submenu or click the second to the top left icon on the mini-map that looks like a PDA with a blue screen.

What is useful in this window is the ability to make a quest your primary mission. What this will do is make a green circle on the map an orange circle as well as place a ! on the compass below the mini-map so that you know what direction the quest is in.

On the topic of green and orange circles on the map, those are the quest areas. Quest goals will not be outside of that range.

Tutorial Quests[]

Millennium City Tutorial Missions

The quests you are most likely to miss if you are trying to complete them all is theCat-astrophe quest which is located South East of Chief Surhoff (tutorial), Right Off the Bat which is South of the 3 ambulances, and Speed in Need which is North West of the 3 ambulances.

Perks[]

Perks are sort of like quests but the main difference is that you don't have an official quest giver. They give you experience and money like quests which is nice.

To bring up your perks listing press k or the top left icon on the mini-map and click missions and then click the perks tab.

Tutorial Perks[]

The main tutorial perk (see the bottom header for the perks listing) that you will miss in the tutorial is Red Bug Down.

Your character will have 2 primary stats. The effect of these primary stats varies depending on class. For example, while a Mind character will get extra damage from having presence, a behemoth will not.

For more information see the game manual (press h in game and click game manual).

First Instance[]

Primary Article: First Instance

In this instance you will have to fight a fairly tough villan. Ideally you would have lots of + damage resistance after doing the zoned protect the cannon quest. Mainly because you can repetedly do that quest and claim an item from the cannon once it is done.
